Where It All Began

Gianni Cinelli, owner
Gianni Cinelli left Long Island, NY on January 27, 1998 to come to Raleigh, NC. He wanted to find the perfect place to raise his family, and found it! He spent a few years with the Houlihans Group as the GM of Darryls on Gleenwood Avenue and then Darryl's on Old Wake Forest Road. Then, Gianni moved to Lone Star and Semolina's Pasta Grill. Finally, he he worked at Romano's Macaroni Grill.
Gianni spent his life in the food business. From luncheonettes, to delicatessans, to pizzeria's, and now restaurants. He also worked for his uncles at Sansone Food Products, an Intalian Importer Wholesaler. But Gianni's passion for food comes from his mother's table. This has made him extremely successful at Ristorante Cinelli, Cinelli's Pizzeria and Gianni & Gaitano's.
Gianni is on his won these days, like he was the first three and a half years he came down to NC. He promises tto give the same quality food he has become famous for. In a clean restaurant, with servers who want to give the extra effort that Gianni is known for.
